Football Manager, but as the sporting director
In Football Manager you are the coach. Here you are the one who builds the squad from the office.
The job other games forget
Most management games put you on the touchline: line-ups, instructions, team talks. In Shadow Director you are the sporting director: you sign, you sell, you negotiate contracts and you answer to the chairman.
The coach plays the match with the players you gave him. If the team loses, your recruitment is also under the spotlight.
What really changes
- No tactics board: decisions come through messages and choices
- Agents, press and the board are real characters with demands
- You watch matches in 3D but never touch them: you live with the result
- A season is dozens of small decisions, not one big match
Who is it for?
If you prefer transfers, scouting young talent and power struggles over team sheets, this is for you. You can start for free in divisions 3 and 4, with no account and no download.
Frequently asked questions
Is it an alternative to Football Manager?
It is a different game: you do not coach the team, you run the football side of a club. It can sit alongside a coaching game.
Can I play without tactics?
Yes. The coach handles the pitch, you handle recruitment, budget and relationships.
