The four divisions
What changes from one division to another, with the game’s own numbers.
Shadow Director has four divisions of twenty clubs. Here is what really changes from one to the next: budgets, stadium, wage cap, starters’ level, and promotion and relegation rules.
Average budget of the starting clubs
| Division | Starting clubs | Stadium (seats) | Ref. ticket | Wage cap / month | Avg starters rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Division 1 · Elite | 8 | 32,000 | €35 | €2.3M – €2.3M | 78.0 |
| Division 2 · Challenger | 8 | 15,000 | €22 | €900,000 – €900,000 | 68.4 |
| Division 3 · Promotion | 7 | 6,000 | €12 | €300,000 – €300,000 | 58.8 |
| Division 4 · Regional | 6 | 2,000 | €7 | €120,000 – €120,000 | 50.1 |
Which one to pick?
To discover the game: Division 4 or 3, both free, with no relegation risk in Division 4. For a real money-tight management challenge: Division 3. To handle a demanding dressing room and board, with European cups at stake: Divisions 1 and 2, which need the PRO tier.
