Running a small football club with no money
No budget, a patient board and a season to survive: that is the challenge of the lower divisions.
The lower divisions
Divisions 3 and 4 are free. You find clubs with very modest budgets, down to one that starts with not a euro in the till. The board is more forgiving, but resources are scarce.
How to get by
- sell at the right time the players the transfer window values
- rely on the academy, which supplies new youngsters every 1 July
- avoid wages that exceed the wage cap
- answer messages before they expire, to keep the board on your side
Climbing the ladder
By succeeding, you move up a division, and your renown takes you up the grades. See the club list to choose your starting point.
